Hamline Midway Library: Past and Present

Hamline Midway Library: At A Glance

The Hamline Midway Library is the quintessestial

neighborhood public library.  It has been well-loved

since its grand opening on October 9th, 1930.

It was one of two original Henry Hale Memorial

branch libraries, and the only one of the original

twelve branch libraries with a working fireplace.

This fireplace is used several times a year during

the Fireside Author Series, which is sponsored

by the Friends of the Saint Paul Public Library.

Check out our calender to discover when these

and other events take place. All are welcome!

Library Quote

"A library is a house of hope. It's a place where we all, whatever our situation,

can feed our ideas and develop our dreams." -- Doug Wilhelm
